Miran Kim grew up in New York. She earned her BFA from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco in illustration. She did graduate study at New York City's School of Visual Arts. She currently works as a freelance comic book illustrator / painter and lives in Northern France.
 
Miran's numerous publishing clients include Marvel Comics, Absolut Vodka, Topps, Papercutz, IDW, Éditions Glénat, Insight Editions and Métal Hurlant. In addition to commercial artwork, Miran's personal paintings have been featured in group shows at the New Museum of Contemporary Art (NYC), the Museum of Cartoonist and Comic Book Art (NYC), Galerie Huberty Breyne (Paris) and more.
